SAFETY
INFINITI QX80

These two giants have the brains to match their brawn. They come packed with intuitive safety features that are bound to give you more confidence, whether you’re flying solo or have the whole family in tow.

Safety Comes Standard

The INFINITI QX80 comes standard with these safety systems:

  • Blind Spot Intervention®
  • Predictive Forward Collision Warning
  • Backup Camera Intevention
  • Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection
  • Lane Departure Prevention

You’ll also find a similar set of safety features with the Navigator.

Mirror, Mirror in the SUV

When it comes to safety, having the ability to see and take preventative measures cannot be overestimated. So, you’ll want to have features on board that increase your visibility. One such feature, the Smart Rearview Mirror, is only available with the QX80. When your friends are obstructing the rearview mirror on your way to the club, you can switch to a camera view for better visibility.

Both SUVs are available with surround-view cameras. They’ll make parking in tight spots a lot easier, but only the Around View® Monitorof the INFINITI QX80 comes with Moving Object Detection. It provides a virtual 360-degree bird’s-eye view and will alert you when a moving object, such as a pedestrian or cyclist, is nearby.

INTERIOR
INFINITI QX80

Both models offer seating for up to eight passengers when you opt for their available second-row bench seat. Capacity, though, is only part of the equation, especially when comparing two SUVs in the luxury class segment.

Interior Comfort

Seating materials are key to the luxury experience. Luckily, leather seats come standard with the QX80. The Lincoln Navigator comes standard with synthetic leather, while real leather is reserved for its higher trims.

Both models offer a long list of amenities to keep everyone cozy for the whole ride. Some of these include a standard 10-way power driver's seat and Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control.

You can get a breath of fresh air in either model thanks to their air-filtration systems, but the available auto recirculation with Plasmacluster® technology in the QX80 is even more refined. It captures allergens, bacteria, and viruses before they move into your cabin.

Infotainment Technology

Today’s drivers require tech that will keep them informed, connected, and entertained along the way. It’s no surprise that these luxury models deliver tech in spades.

Both the QX80 and the Navigator come standardly equipped with large, double-digit touchscreen displays with built-in Navigation and:

  • Premium audio systems with more than a dozen speakers
  • Wireless smartphone connectivity
  • Voice recognition
  • SiriusXM® and HD Radio®
  • Alexa Built-in

So, no matter which model you choose, you’ll have access to everything—and everyone—you need from the road.

PERFORMANCE
INFINITI QX80

Of course, the primary purpose of having any vehicle is to get reliably from Point A to Point B. As such, you’ll want to ensure that your chosen model offers the power you need.

Power to Go (Almost) Anywhere

Both the INFINITI QX80 and the Lincoln Navigator put a ton of power at your disposal—over 400 horsepower, in fact. The Navigator comes standard with a potent V6, but you may find the standard V8 of the QX80 offers a performance more akin to that sports car you’ve been dreaming about.

Plus, they both offer 4-wheel drive, so you’ll be able to move ahead confidently when a storm rolls in and the roads get slick. The INFINITI All-Mode 4WD®—available with the QX80—automatically adjusts traction to any road or weather conditions you may encounter on life’s unpredictable highways and byways.

Performance Personified

So, how do these two powerhouses perform when it comes time to tow your favorite recreational toy? When properly equipped, the Lincoln Navigator can handle up to 8,300 pounds. While quite impressive, it falls short of the INFINITI QX80, which has a maximum towing capacity of 8,500 pounds.

Hydraulic Body Motion Control is one performance system that’s only available on the QX80. It constantly monitors the force applied through turns and under heavy acceleration while automatically adjusting the suspension for less body lean and a smoother ride.
